AI Production Network Augsburg

Fraunhofer IGCV and partners are jointly researching the AI-based production of the future as part of the AI production network

Together with the University of Augsburg, the Augsburg Centre for Lightweight Production Technology (ZLP), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and regional industrial partners, the Fraunhofer IGCV is researching AI-supported solutions for sustainable, highly modular and material-optimised production in the Augsburg AI Production Network.

As part of the AI Production Network, the Fraunhofer IGCV focuses on data acquisition and networking of systems, processes and production facilities, the development of innovative manufacturing technologies and the application of artificial intelligence in order to effectively transfer future knowledge and applications to manufacturing companies in the Augsburg, Swabia and Bavaria region. 

The AI production network is also expanding its activities through joint initiatives with regional partners such as the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Swabian Chamber of Crafts, the Bavarian Metal and Electrical Industry Association, the Mechatronics & Automation Management GmbH cluster, the Bavarian Industry Association and Composites United e.V.
