1st Symposium on Multi-Material Powder Bed Fusion

For over eleven years, we at Fraunhofer IGCV have been researching and developing the multi-material processing of metals using powder bed-based laser beam melting (PBF-LB/M). Since then, industry interest in this technology has steadily picked up. As a result, there are more and more commercially available machines and components manufactured via PBF-LB/M.

It is time to create an exchange platform for industry and research.

Become a part of the 1st Symposium on Multi-Material Powder Bed Fusion and join us on September 4, 2025, in Augsburg.

Professionals and scientists will present the latest findings, challenges, and achievements in multi-material processing from both industry and research. Additionally, the symposium provides space for networking, allowing new contacts to be made and existing ones to be maintained, and serves as inspiration for new ideas. Registration is free but limited to first-come, first-serve.

 

Pre-event

On the previous evening, from 5 PM, we’d like to kick off the event with a barbecue on the outdoor courtyard patio of Fraunhofer IGCV. Join us for a laid-back summer evening and connect with the other participants!
