Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology IGCVFraunhofer IGCV contributes to the solution of challenging tasks within different industries. We facilitate integrated innovations from materials technology and component design to production technology and the supply chain. For this purpose, the competences of the specialist departments are bundled in a sector-specific manner. In this way, knowledge from research and development is transferred to industrial applications and the link between the research laboratory and our partners is established.
In recent years, we have worked directly with companies from the mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace, automotive and transportation industries. In addition, about a quarter of our industrial cooperations are spread over numerous other sectors. This enables us to implement our solutions in an interdisciplinary manner.
