Initial situation

• Helicopter rotor blade in prepreg construction very expensive and high manual effort
• Potential of innovative process chain (RTM design) could be demonstrated
• Robustness still questionable and economic efficiency or necessary degree of automation (4 sheets for the price of 5)

Objective

• Optimization/ proof of the robustness of the production process chain
• Mapping and optimization of the material flow / production layout
• Testing of different production scenarios ((partially) automated, supplier scenario, etc.) with regard to economic optimization potential
• Validation of economic efficiency
