With the advisory board election on May 13, 2022, all key positions are now filled and the association can officially start its work. In addition to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Daub and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Schilp as representatives from the institute's management, the now-retired Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gunther Reinhart has also been recruited for the association. He co-founded Fraunhofer IGCV in 2016 and, in retirement, supports the alumni association in order to bridge the gap between former colleagues and newcomers. In his speech before the advisory board election, he and his successor Rüdiger Daub agreed: "The alumni association is a network from which members can benefit throughout their lives. This is because the contacts not only serve as an informal exchange, but also as a breeding ground for new ideas from which alumni and researchers of Fraunhofer IGCV benefit equally."
