Fraunhofer IGCV equips the workplace of the future

In the SynDiQuAss project - »Synchronisation of digitalisation, quality assurance and assistance systems at workplaces with a low level of automation« - Fraunhofer IGCV has been working on the workplace of the future for the past three years. The project has now been completed.

Together with Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, the researchers at Fraunhofer IGCV tested how assistance systems can be integrated into a modern workplace. The corresponding systems can support employees in production - making work more innovative and flexible.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund funded the project with 1.7 million euros.

The requirements of the workplaces - and in the course of the project, also the concrete implementation - were determined and tested directly by the industrial partners in the Augsburg region.

In this way, future workplaces could be directly and individually adapted to the needs. Digitalisation, assistance systems and quality assurance can thus be integrated into one system and make everyday working life more progressive in the long term.

You can find more information about the individual project steps and the successes on our project page.
