• Covestro Deutschland AG

Covestro is one of the leading suppliers of pultrusion resins based on polyurethane. It is our aim to continuously advance the materials and adapt them to the current needs of our customers and of the market. In addition to our research and development in the laboratory, an important step in the development process to us is to test the resin systems in a pultrusion facility on an industrial scale. We realize this test at the Fraunhofer IGCV. Thanks to the commitment and competence of the employees at the IGCV, we are able to test our new developments comprehensively under realistic usage conditions. Not only when discussing the results do the IGCV employees bring in their extensive pultrusion expertise and therefore contribute significantly to the development and optimization of our innovations.

With the active support of the members of composites research at the Fraunhofer IGCV we were able to professionally develop the course for Industriemeister Kunststoff und Kautschuk Fachrichtung Faserverbundtechnologie (industrial foreman plastics and rubber specialized in fiber composite engineering) according to the new examination regulations. Some research associates are also involved in this course as lecturers and pass on their knowledge about materials and production processes. Thanks to the professional support by the Fraunhofer IGCV, IHK Akademie Schwaben is in the position to guarantee the best possible knowledge transfer for their course participants.
